We have access to over 20,000 oblique images of Canadian villages, towns and cities taken between 1918 and 1945. Many of these photographs were taken at altitudes between 500 and 1500 feet as part of the early mapping of Canada. They provide a detailed and fascinating bird’s eye perspective of Canada during the second quarter of the twentieth century.
